Virtual Medical Scribe

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Virtual Medical Scribe will assist physicians by documenting patient visits and managing electronic medical records in real time, while gaining valuable clinical experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide real-time EHR charting support for physicians during patient visits
• Document clinical information, including histories, physical exams, and lab report analyses
• Complete the IKS scribe training program and pass all required assessments

Required qualifications

• Recent experience as a Medical Scribe, Medical Assistant, or Medical Transcriptionist, or completion of relevant courses in Anatomy and Physiology and Medical Terminology
• Ability to work full, uninterrupted day shifts (8 to 10 hours) during outpatient office hours
• Typing speed of 40 wpm with 90% accuracy, with a typing test required
• Must be 18 years of age or older and authorized to work in the United States
• Must have a designated HIPAA compliant workspace and a secure, reliable internet connection
