Virtual Medical Scribe
Job Summary
To enhance provider efficiency in a fully remote setting, the part-time Virtual Medical Scribe will perform medical record documentation and clerical duties while working 3-4 shifts a week from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Standard Time, Monday through Friday.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble medical record documentation to support healthcare providers
- Virtually enter patient rooms with physicians to capture and transcribe medical record documentation using electronic medical record applications
- Update all components of the patient's medical record as directed by the physician, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility-specific procedures
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3 - 6 months of previous Medical Scribe experience
- Typing speed of 45+ WPM
- Ability to work shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours
- Residency in an approved state for virtual work with ProScribe
