Virtual Medical Transcriptionist

Job Summary

Nonprofit medical practice and medical research group is in need of a Virtual Medical Transcriptionist.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Meeting departmental quality and productivity standards
• Transcribing dictation, creating correspondence, and/or editing speech-recognized dictation for physicians and other healthcare providers in order to document patient care in the medical record
• Blocking and copying transcribed information into letter format and proofread documents to meet institutional standards

Position Requirements Include:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to type 65 wpm
• 1+ year's transcription experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Strong knowledge of computer/dictation/transcription software and hardware
• Experience utilizing electronic health record
