Virtual Medical Transcriptionist
Job Summary
Nonprofit medical practice and medical research group is in need of a Virtual Medical Transcriptionist.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Meeting departmental quality and productivity standards
- Transcribing dictation, creating correspondence, and/or editing speech-recognized dictation for physicians and other healthcare providers in order to document patient care in the medical record
- Blocking and copying transcribed information into letter format and proofread documents to meet institutional standards
Position Requirements Include:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to type 65 wpm
- 1+ year's transcription experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong knowledge of computer/dictation/transcription software and hardware
- Experience utilizing electronic health record
