Virtual Outpatient Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A healthcare company needs applicants for an opening for a Virtual Outpatient Coding Specialist.

Core Responsibilities Include:

• Code all requested outpatient acute care facility records
• Abstract, code and assign necessary demographic and clinical data elements
• Use 3M and/or TruCode encoder to ensure appropriate reimbursement

Qualifications Include:

• RHIA, RHIT, and/or CCS
• 3 years outpatient coding experience in an acute care hospital
• I-10-CM/PCS training
• Computer proficiency, able to research coding questions and utilize HIA’s internal educational resources
• High Speed Internet via Cable
• Independent, focused individual able to work remotely
