Visual Development Artist

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Visual Development Artist will create artwork that informs the early story and visual development process, collaborating with the Production Designer and Art Director on character, environment, and prop design.

Key responsibilities:

• Create artwork that supports both the story and production processes
• Generate designs for characters, environments, backgrounds, and props under the guidance of senior staff
• Communicate progress and ensure timelines are met while supporting various departments

Required qualifications:

• Ability to design independently from concept to completion
• Strong understanding of design principles and color theory
• Experience collaborating within a team of artists
• Solid time-management skills
• Proficiency in Photoshop; knowledge of Maya and/or ZBrush is a plus
