VMware Cloud Foundation Engineer
Job Summary
Serving as the strategic technical leader for large-scale VMware Cloud Foundation programs, the remote VCF Principal Engineer will lead design engagements, develop high and low-level designs, and serve as a technical escalation point while transitioning to the VMware Cloud Foundation platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design engagements, including discovery workshops, requirement analysis, and solution planning
- Develop and defend High Level Designs (HLDs) and Low Level Designs (LLDs) for complex, multi-site VCF environments
- Plan hybrid cloud integrations with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, including migration strategies and HCX-based mobility
Required Qualifications
- Advanced expertise with core VMware ecosystem: vSphere, vSAN, NSX, and Aria Suite
- Eagerness to learn and complete comprehensive training to become a subject matter expert in VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)
- Proven experience designing multi-datacenter or global VMware solutions
- Deep understanding of hybrid cloud planning, migrations, and hyperscaler integrations
- 8-12 years of experience in enterprise IT, solution design, or cloud engineering
