Volunteer Translation Project Manager

Job Summary

Managing translation projects for nonprofit partners, the part-time Volunteer Translation Project Manager will oversee project setup, liaise with partners and volunteer linguists, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality translations in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and prepare translation projects, ensuring all requirements are met before launch
• Liaise regularly with partner organizations to confirm project details and keep them updated on progress
• Track project progress and maintain clear communication with volunteer linguists throughout each project

Required qualifications

• Strong writing skills and a good command of English; knowledge of other languages is an advantage
• Some previous experience in translation, interpreting, or project coordination is helpful but not essential
• Familiarity with translation memory or CAT tool concepts is a plus
• Previous experience working with nonprofit organizations is a plus
• Comfortable learning new tools and software quickly
