VP Engineering, Network Observability
Job Summary
Leading the engineering organization for the Network Observability product line, the full-time VP Engineering will own the technical direction, architecture, and operational excellence of a complex platform while working remotely and collaborating cross-functionally with Product Management, Sales, and Customer Success.
Key responsibilities
- Set the technical direction and multi-year engineering roadmap for network observability and performance monitoring products
- Architect and scale data-intensive platforms for network telemetry and analytics, ensuring high performance and reliability
- Build and mentor high-performing, geographically distributed engineering teams while establishing software development standards and best practices
Required qualifications
- MS/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields
- 15+ years of experience in a software engineering environment, with 10+ years managing senior individual contributors
- Direct experience in building network observability or infrastructure management products
- Strong technical fluency in networking fundamentals and telemetry technologies
- Experience in SaaS or PaaS engineering and strong development experience in Java, C++, or similar OO languages
