VP of Security

Job Summary

To lead security initiatives in an AI-focused environment, the full-time salaried VP of Security will manage end-to-end security strategy, engineering, and operations while overseeing the development of new AI security capabilities and maintaining a strong trust posture with enterprise customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and lead the AI security function, including building an internal AI gateway and implementing robust security measures for AI usage
• Oversee security engineering efforts, including AppSec, SecOps, and CloudSec, while driving a secure-by-design roadmap
• Manage enterprise trust and readiness for funding, ensuring compliance with SOC 2 and PCI requirements while facilitating customer security reviews

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security, with at least 5 years in leadership roles during hypergrowth phases
• Strong technical expertise in cloud-native security, particularly with AWS identity and modern AppSec tooling
• Proven experience in building new security functions from the ground up
• Deep understanding of AI security challenges, including prompt injection and data exfiltration
• Ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership and manage corporate IT functions related to security
