VP of Security

Job Summary

To lead the security strategy and operations at Engine, the full-time salaried VP of Security will build and oversee AI security functions, enhance security engineering practices, and manage corporate IT, while reporting directly to the SVP of Engineering and AI.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and manage the AI security function, including internal AI gateway and agent identity model
• Lead security engineering efforts across AppSec, SecOps, and CloudSec, driving a secure-by-design roadmap
• Oversee enterprise trust initiatives, including security diligence for fundraising and customer security reviews

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security, with at least 5 years in leadership roles during hypergrowth phases
• Strong technical knowledge in AI security, cloud-native security, and modern AppSec tooling
• Proven experience building new security functions from the ground up
• Ability to effectively communicate with executive leadership and manage enterprise-level security reviews
• Experience with corporate IT governance, including identity platforms and endpoint management
