VP of Security

Job Summary

Leading the charge in AI security, the full-time salaried VP of Security will oversee security strategy, engineering, and operations while ensuring a robust security posture in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead the AI security function, including the development of an internal AI gateway and prompt abuse detection systems
• Manage security engineering teams, driving initiatives in AppSec, SecOps, and CloudSec while enhancing secure design practices
• Oversee enterprise trust and readiness for fundraising, ensuring compliance with SOC 2 and PCI standards while facilitating customer security reviews

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security, with at least 5 years in leadership roles, preferably in high-growth environments
• Strong technical expertise in AI security, cloud-native security, and modern AppSec tooling
• Proven experience in building new security functions from the ground up
• Ability to engage with executive leadership and manage corporate IT security initiatives
• Genuine interest and knowledge in AI security threats and mitigation strategies
