VP of Security

Job Summary

To lead the security strategy and operations at Engine, the full-time salaried VP of Security will build and manage AI security functions, oversee security engineering and operations, and ensure enterprise trust while collaborating with senior leadership and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and lead the AI security function, including building an internal AI gateway and hardening consumer-facing AI surfaces
• Oversee security engineering teams, driving secure design and automation initiatives across the organization
• Manage enterprise trust and readiness for fundraising, including customer security reviews and compliance with SOC 2 and PCI standards

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security, with 5+ years in leadership roles during hypergrowth phases
• Strong technical expertise in cloud-native security, including AWS identity and modern AppSec tooling
• Proven experience in building new security functions from the ground up
• Ability to engage with executive teams and manage enterprise-level security reviews
• Current knowledge and conviction regarding AI security challenges and solutions
