VP of Security

Job Summary

To lead the security strategy and operations at Engine, the full-time salaried VP of Security will build and manage AI security functions, oversee security engineering, and ensure enterprise trust while collaborating with senior leadership in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead the AI security function, including the development of an internal AI gateway and agent identity management
• Direct security engineering efforts across AppSec, SecOps, and CloudSec, while driving the security roadmap and corporate IT functions
• Manage enterprise trust initiatives, including security diligence for fundraising and customer security reviews, while maintaining compliance with SOC 2 and PCI standards

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security, with at least 5 years in leadership roles during periods of hypergrowth
• Strong technical expertise in AI security, cloud-native security, and modern AppSec tooling
• Proven ability to build new security functions from the ground up
• Experience with corporate IT management, including identity platforms and SaaS governance
• Executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively with boards and enterprise customers
