VP of Security

Job Summary

To lead the security strategy and operations at Engine, the full-time VP of Security will build and oversee AI security functions, manage security engineering teams, and enhance enterprise trust while collaborating with executive leadership and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and manage the AI security function, including internal AI gateways and agent identity models
• Lead security engineering efforts across AppSec, SecOps, and CloudSec, driving the roadmap for secure practices and automated responses
• Oversee enterprise trust initiatives, including security narrative development for fundraising and customer security reviews

Required qualifications

• 12+ years in security with 5+ years in leadership roles, ideally in high-growth environments
• Deep technical expertise in AI security, cloud-native security, and security engineering
• Experience building new security functions from the ground up
• Strong executive presence and ability to engage with boards and enterprise customers
• Proficiency in managing corporate IT functions as part of the security mission
