VP of Security

Job Summary

To lead security initiatives in an AI-native environment, the full-time salaried VP of Security will own the security strategy, engineering, and operations while developing new AI security capabilities and maintaining existing security functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and lead the AI security function, including the development of a controlled internal AI gateway and robust security measures for consumer-facing AI applications
• Oversee security engineering teams, driving the roadmap for application security, cloud security, and operational security while ensuring secure-by-design practices
• Manage enterprise trust and readiness for fundraising, including customer security reviews and compliance with SOC 2 and PCI standards

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security, with at least 5 years in leadership roles during periods of hypergrowth or major fundraising processes
• Strong technical expertise in cloud-native security, including AWS identity management, CSPM, EDR, and SIEM operations
• Proven ability to build and lead new security functions from the ground up
• Experience with AI security challenges, including prompt injection and data exfiltration
• Executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively with boards and enterprise customers
