Washington Compliance Officer

Job Summary

To ensure regulatory compliance within the health insurance industry, the full-time Washington Compliance Officer will manage compliance programs, maintain regulatory documentation, and develop policies while working remotely and traveling throughout the state as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to health plans and corporate requirements
• Develop and implement compliance policies, procedures, and programs, including fraud and abuse and HIPAA
• Conduct compliance audits and report findings to senior management and the Board of Directors

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Public Policy, Government Affairs, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's Degree or Law degree preferred
• 8+ years of experience in compliance program management and contract administration
• Extensive knowledge of state administrative codes, insurance laws, and managed care regulations
• Experience with state and federal agencies, accreditation bodies, and HIPAA regulations
• Equivalent experience demonstrating applicable knowledge and skills relevant to the position
