Job Summary
Supporting investigative and legal matters, the hybrid remote Washington DC Computer Forensic Examiner will perform digital forensic examinations, evidence handling, and reporting while managing complex caseloads independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform forensic collection, imaging, processing, and analysis of digital devices in a forensically sound manner
- Maintain strict chain of custody and documentation throughout the lifecycle of evidence
- Prepare clear, defensible forensic reports and present findings to attorneys and investigators as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Sole U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Digital Forensics, Information Systems, or related field preferred
- 10+ years of professional experience, including a minimum of 5 years of hands-on digital forensics experience
- At least one forensic examiner certification such as CFCE, CCO, CCPA, EnCE, CCE, MCFE, or ACE
- Experience with core forensic tools, including Cellebrite, Magnet Axiom, GrayKey, FTK, X-Ways, and EnCase
