Job Summary
Supporting the Deputy General Counsel, the full-time Washington DC Licensed Assistant General Counsel will provide legal advice on labor and employment matters, manage compliance strategies, and draft various legal documents in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive labor and employment law counsel on all aspects of the employment relationship
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of legal instruments, including employment agreements and policies
- Assist in developing and managing compliance and risk management strategies related to employment law
Required qualifications
- Juris doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Current license in good standing to practice law in the United States
- A minimum of five years of experience practicing law, preferably in a non-profit setting
- Demonstrated expertise in US labor and employment law
- Experience drafting and negotiating employment-related agreements and policies
