Washington DC Licensed Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

To support the MedStar Connected Endocrine Program, the full-time Washington DC Licensed Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner will manage patient care for endocrine conditions, including diabetes and hypothyroidism, through remote consultations and medication management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage patient appointments and follow-ups for various endocrine conditions, ensuring timely access to care
• Conduct assessments, diagnose, treat, and educate patients on managing their endocrine health remotely
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care and support medication management

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in diabetes management and general endocrine care as an advanced practice provider
• Experience with continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), insulin pumps, and GLP-1 agonist management
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
• Exceptional interpersonal and telehealth communication skills
• Commitment to patient-centered care and improving patient outcomes
