Washington Licensed Crisis Specialist
Job Summary
Providing life-saving emotional support, the full-time Washington Licensed Crisis Specialist will deliver crisis intervention via chat and text, conduct assessments, and collaborate with clinicians, all while working remotely from Washington, Arizona, Ohio, or Texas.
Key responsibilities
- Provide empathetic, nonjudgmental crisis intervention via chat and SMS text
- Conduct suicide risk and behavioral health assessments while supporting de-escalation efforts
- Develop safety and action plans with individuals in crisis and connect them to appropriate resources
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED plus four years of full-time behavioral health experience, or a relevant combination of education and experience
- Agency Affiliated Counselor (AAC) credential required by the end of the probationary period
- Crisis intervention or suicide prevention experience
- Behavioral health or contact center experience
- Ability to remain focused during emotionally intense conversations
