Washington Licensed Crisis Specialist

Job Summary

Providing life-saving emotional support to individuals in crisis, the part-time Washington Licensed Crisis Specialist will deliver empathetic crisis intervention via chat and SMS text while conducting assessments and collaborating with clinicians in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide nonjudgmental crisis intervention and conduct suicide risk assessments
• Collaborate with on-shift clinicians to ensure safety and develop action plans
• Document interactions accurately in the electronic health record and follow established protocols

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus four years of full-time behavioral health experience, or a combination of education and experience
• Agency Affiliated Counselor (AAC) credential required by the end of the probationary period
• Crisis intervention or suicide prevention experience
• Behavioral health or contact center experience
• Ability to remain focused during emotionally intense conversations
