Job Summary
Providing prompt and courteous insurance clearance services, the full-time Washington Licensed Financial Access Specialist will coordinate the insurance clearance process and verify coverage for various medical services in a 100% remote position.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate the insurance clearance process and obtain insurance authorizations through assigned payer administrators
- Verify and document patient eligibility and benefits, and refer uninsured patients for Medicaid/Charity eligibility screening
- Prepare fee estimates, review payment options with patients, and collect payments using EPIC
Required qualifications
- High School diploma or GED certificate
- One year of experience in a medical office setting
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements
