Washington Licensed Hospice Veterinarian

Job Summary

Seeking a Washington Licensed Hospice Veterinarian, the part-time position will provide in-home hospice, palliative care, and euthanasia services, allowing for professional autonomy and meaningful interactions with pet families in Bellevue and Redmond, Washington.

Key responsibilities

• Provide in-home pet hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and compassionate euthanasia services
• Independently travel to scheduled appointments and practice effectively in a mobile veterinary care environment
• Educate pet families on quality-of-life decisions and maintain accurate veterinary medical records

Required qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD), BVMS, or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary program
• Active veterinary license in Washington or eligibility to obtain one
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to travel between appointments
• Demonstrated ability to communicate empathetically during sensitive end-of-life conversations
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted and assist with weights up to 100 pounds
