Washington Licensed Pharmacy Director

Job Summary

Leading the Prior Authorization department, the full-time Washington Licensed Pharmacy Director will oversee operations, team leadership, and strategic initiatives to ensure efficient and compliant prior authorization services in a fully remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Prior Authorization department, establishing goals and metrics aligned with organizational objectives
• Direct daily operations to ensure quality service delivery and implement process improvements for enhanced efficiency and member experience
• Manage relationships with clinical vendors, monitoring performance and collaborating on initiatives to optimize operational effectiveness

Required qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BSPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
• Active pharmacist license in good standing
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in pharmacy, clinical operations, prior authorization, or related healthcare fields
• At least 3-5 years of leadership experience with responsibility for team performance
• Strong analytical skills and experience using data to inform operational decisions
