Job Summary
Evaluating treatment plans for mental health and substance abuse, the full-time Washington Licensed Utilization Review Clinician will perform clinical reviews and assessments remotely, ensuring the appropriateness of care and services while participating in weekend and holiday rotations.
Key responsibilities
- Conducts evaluations of members' treatment for mental health and substance abuse to ensure medical appropriateness
- Performs prior authorization reviews and concurrent reviews of behavioral health inpatient cases
- Provides education to providers, members, and families regarding the behavioral health utilization process
Required qualifications
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing or Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of related experience
- Active Washington RN license or active Compact RN license required
- Master's degree for behavioral health clinicians preferred
- Licensure as LCSW, LMHC, LPC, LMFT, or LMHP required
- Clinical knowledge of mental health and substance abuse utilization review processes preferred
