Job Summary
To enhance the quality and completeness of clinical documentation, the full-time salaried Washington RN Clinical Documentation Specialist will facilitate modifications through collaboration with healthcare providers and coding staff while ensuring appropriate reimbursement for services rendered, all in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Improve the overall quality and completeness of clinical documentation through extensive interaction with healthcare teams
- Facilitate modifications to clinical documentation to ensure appropriate reimbursement for services
- Organize and interpret information related to various policies, procedures, and programs within the medical center
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS)
- 5 years of recent ER and/or critical care clinical experience in a hospital setting
- Experience in utilization review and/or as a clinical documentation specialist preferred
