Job Summary
To support a dynamic educational environment, the on-call Healthcare CTE Teacher Substitute will implement lesson plans and instructional strategies remotely, ensuring positive behavior change and learning for at-risk students in Washington State.
Key responsibilities
- Implement lesson plans and adjust instructional strategies to meet individualized student goals in a remote classroom setting
- Communicate with school personnel to gather information regarding students' educational needs and assess their progress
- Create a positive classroom environment and behavior management plan that promotes learning and student engagement
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Eligibility for a valid Washington teacher certificate, substitute teacher certificate, or emergency substitute teacher certificate
- One year of experience teaching in a virtual or remote classroom (preferred)
- Career Technical Education endorsements in Healthcare, Allied Health, or Biology/Health for high school (preferred)
- Successful completion of a criminal history and fingerprint check through the WSP and FBI
