Washington State IT Data Manager

Job Summary

Leading a team of 16 IT data management professionals, the full-time salaried Washington State IT Data Manager will oversee the agency's data warehouse and approximately 300 application databases, ensuring alignment with technical direction and architecture standards while collaborating with business partners and IT teams.

Key responsibilities:

• Establish priorities and coordinate timely delivery of IT services across multiple teams
• Consult with business stakeholders on the implementation of newly enacted legislation and manage project planning from concept to execution
• Provide leadership and oversight for data management solutions, ensuring applications adhere to agency standards and operational agreements

Required qualifications:

• Ten (10) years of experience in IT Data administration with advanced knowledge in relevant data technologies and architecture
• Five (5) years or more of management or supervisory experience in an IT environment
• Three (3) years or more of Project Management experience or experience leading agile development teams using Scrum methodology
• Education may substitute for experience: up to four (4) years for a bachelor's degree and up to two (2) years for an associate's degree in a related field
