Washington State Licensed Accountant

Job Summary

To support a growing cleantech manufacturing company, the part-time Washington State Licensed Accountant will manage full-cycle accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and financial reporting, while working remotely on a contract-to-hire basis.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
• Perform manufacturing cost accounting activities, including job costing and inventory tracking
• Process bi-weekly payroll and ensure compliance with payroll regulations and tax requirements

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification preferred
• 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting practices and financial reporting
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Solid knowledge of U.S. payroll regulations and experience with payroll tax filings
