Washington State Licensed Security Engineer

Job Summary

Protecting IT software and systems from potential intrusions, the full-time salaried IS Security Engineer II will monitor security policies, manage security tools, and communicate security posture updates in a hybrid work environment in Washington State.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and adhere to security systems and policies to safeguard data communication networks
• Provide expertise in tactical planning and execution of the security plan, acting as a subject matter expert for key security projects
• Communicate situational awareness to ensure security posture remains intact during project implementations and technology changes

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Basic Security certification (Security+ or equivalent) required, or must obtain within six months of hire
• 3 years of information security and/or networking experience required
• Must be a resident of Washington State for hybrid/remote work
