Job Summary
To enhance the quality of clinical documentation, the full-time Washington State RN Clinical Documentation Specialist will interact with healthcare providers to facilitate modifications and ensure appropriate reimbursement for services rendered, working remotely during daytime hours.
Key responsibilities
- Improve the quality and completeness of clinical documentation through collaboration with physicians and nursing staff
- Facilitate modifications to clinical documentation to ensure compliance and appropriate reimbursement
- Maintain regular communication with various personnel within and outside the medical center to support documentation efforts
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS)
- Five years of recent ER and/or critical care clinical experience in a hospital setting
- Experience in utilization review and/or as a clinical documentation specialist preferred
