Water Quality Data Analyst
Job Summary
Contributing to the protection of healthy water systems, the full-time Water Quality Data Analyst will perform data analysis and research in support of environmental projects, focusing on surface water quality assessment and drinking water safety, while collaborating with various stakeholders and potentially working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Implement methods to clean, analyze, and store data using R
- Complete analysis of geospatial data using ArcGIS software and Python
- Research and evaluate national, state, and local data sets for water sector projects
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related discipline
- 2 to 4 years of relevant professional experience with Clean Water Act programs
- Experience with large environmental datasets and geospatial data layers
- Advanced skills in R and Python for data analysis
- Familiarity with ArcGIS Pro software and developing interactive tools for data visualization
