Web Developer
Job Summary
Supporting the U.S. National Science Foundation's Tech Accelerators initiative, the full-time remote Web Developer will design, develop, and maintain the UX of a ServiceNow-based portal, ensuring accessibility and mobile responsiveness while collaborating with graphic designers and content developers.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain ServiceNow Service Portal pages and widgets for various user roles using relevant development tools
- Conduct comprehensive portal UX assessments and create management plans, documentation, and design artifacts for continuous improvement
- Implement and verify Section 508 and WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards on all new and updated pages and widgets
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or a related field, or 7 years of relevant web development experience in lieu of a degree
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Service Portal development, including widgets and portal theming
- Strong front-end development skills with HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap 3
- Demonstrated experience in UI/navigation UX design and implementing accessibility standards
- Ability to obtain and maintain required federal suitability/background investigation and system access credentials
