Job Summary
To support office and field operations, the remote Well Planner will deliver well plan design solutions, manage Bottom Hole Assembly (BHA) design, and interface with customers to gather land surveying data while working on a 3-month contract with potential for extension.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver well plan design solutions and adhere to anti-collision processes while supporting BHA design and operation
- Interface with customers to gather land surveying data and confirm targets specific to SAGD well planning
- Maintain well planning and BHA design databases, updating well information as drilling progresses
Required qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in a STEM discipline, preferably Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience in well planning, including well site experience
- Experience with SAGD (Steam-Assisted Gravity Drainage) well planning
- Proficiency with Compass Software (Well Planning)
- Familiarity with AER & MER board requirements
