West Virginia Licensed Staff Pharmacist

Job Summary

To support a growing closed-door pharmacy, the full-time salaried West Virginia Licensed Staff Pharmacist will verify prescriptions, provide patient counseling via phone, and collaborate with prescribers to ensure safe medication dispensing in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Review and clinically verify new and refill prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness
• Provide proactive patient counseling calls and handle inbound clinical inquiries
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards

Required qualifications:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy
• Active West Virginia Pharmacy License in good standing
• Demonstrated ability to perform high-volume prescription verification with attention to detail
• Strong technical aptitude for pharmacy management systems and verification platforms
• Bilingual Spanish preferred for patient counseling
