Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Wind Technician - Texas will maintain optimal function and output at wind sites by performing turbine operations, maintenance, safety checks, and troubleshooting complex issues while collaborating with site leadership to meet contractual obligations.
Key responsibilities
- Execute contractual obligations and daily activities related to electrical and mechanical equipment of wind turbine generators
- Perform maintenance, repair, or replacement of parts to address malfunctions
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on variable pitch and variable speed turbines
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ year(s) experience as a Wind Technician/Wind Mechanic or completion of a Wind Certificate Program/Associates Degree in Energy
- 2 years of electrical work experience may be considered
- Valid driver's license and ability to handle repetitive weight of ~50 lbs
- Ability to climb towers up to 300 feet and work in various environments
