Seeking a Windows Platform Architect, this full-time remote position will design and build core Windows components, ensuring they are safe, stable, fast, and light while collaborating with cross-functional teams across the US and Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the design of core Windows components, including kernel drivers and user mode services
- Optimize product performance by reducing CPU and memory usage and improving startup time
- Lead driver signing and certification efforts with Microsoft and resolve urgent system issues during US hours
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of software development experience with a focus on Windows internals
- Hands-on experience with kernel driver development and the Windows driver model
- Strong proficiency in C and C++ programming languages
- Experience using performance and debugging tools such as WinDbg and PerfView
- Proven track record of delivering stable production software on a large scale
