Job Summary
To support a government staffing initiative, the full-time Windows Server Automation Engineer will manage Active Directory Group Policy and permissions, implement CIS baselines, and design PowerShell scripts for automation, all while working remotely within the Eastern Time Zone.
Key responsibilities
- Execute the Active Directory Group Policy and permissions work backlog, including GPO creation and modifications
- Implement CIS baselines through GPO and scripted remediation based on direction from the Senior Server Administrator
- Identify and automate repetitive operational tasks, replacing manual procedures with documented scripts
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of experience with Active Directory domain services, Group Policy design, and Windows Server administration
- 5+ years of experience in PowerShell scripting for automation and auditing
- 3+ years of experience implementing CIS benchmarks on Windows endpoints
- Experience documenting processes and maintaining current records without after-the-fact write-ups
