Job Summary
To support justice-involved individuals on their recovery journey, the full-time remote Wisconsin Certified Recovery Coach will build trusting relationships, utilize personal recovery experience to motivate clients, and collaborate with the care team to create personalized recovery plans.
Key responsibilities
- Build trusting, nonjudgmental relationships with clients based on shared lived experience
- Collaborate with clients and the care team to develop and implement personalized recovery plans
- Connect clients to community resources and advocate for them within various systems
Required qualifications
- Certified as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRS) or Peer Recovery Coach in Wisconsin
- At least one year of lived experience in sustained recovery (strongly preferred)
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in a peer support role is strongly preferred
- Experience working with justice-involved populations is a plus
