Wisconsin Child Care Budget Analyst

Job Summary

To support the Division of Early Care and Education, the full-time Child Care Budget Analyst will perform professional analysis of budgets and policies, track funding structures for child care services, and coordinate budget development while allowing for potential hybrid work flexibility.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct complex budget analysis and support agency decision-making regarding program and fiscal management
• Coordinate with the Office of Budget and Policy to monitor spending across various funding sources
• Lead project teams in the development of strategic budget issues and initiatives for the Division

Required qualifications

• Experience conducting budget analysis and presenting findings to stakeholders
• Experience managing public-sector budgets, including compliance and administration of multiple funding sources
• Experience with fiscal responsibilities in a program setting, such as budget management and administering grants
• Experience managing audits, including developing audit plans and preparing status reports
• Experience administering budgets for early care and education programs
