Wisconsin Licensed Medical Director

Job Summary

To bridge clinical medicine with risk management, the full-time Wisconsin Licensed Medical Director will set medical standards for Life, Disability, and Long Term Care products, provide medical consultations across departments, and support the education of underwriters in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support company goals for mortality and morbidity by establishing medical standards for insurance products
• Facilitate education for underwriters to utilize established medical standards effectively
• Provide medical case consultations and collaborate with various departments, including Actuarial and Government Relations

Required qualifications

• MD or DO degree with primary care residency training and at least 3 years of clinical experience
• Board certification in Internal Medicine, Med/Peds, or Family Medicine
• Medical licensing in the state of Wisconsin
• Board Certification in Insurance Medicine is preferred
• Demonstrated digital proficiency with case management and medical record platforms
