Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Facility Outpatient Coder, this role will assign ICD10 CM and CPT codes based on health care record documentation, while maintaining confidentiality and supporting patient care and research efforts, with the option to work fully remote.

Key responsibilities

• Assign ICD10 CM and CPT codes by reviewing health care record documentation and applying coding standards
• Review and collect health information data elements for various purposes, including patient care and research
• Maintain confidentiality of health information while collaborating with the coding team

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Health Information Technology or Coding, or equivalent program with a focus on coding
• Previous experience in medical coding is beneficial
• Coding accreditation and/or certification required within 18 months of hire
• Demonstrated motivation, organization, and attention to detail
• High level of interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team with minimal supervision
