Wisconsin SSI Eligibility Specialist

Job Summary

To support the Wisconsin Department of Children & Families, the full-time remote Wisconsin SSI Eligibility Specialist will conduct eligibility reviews, manage SSI applications, and collaborate with case workers to ensure compliance with federal regulations.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct electronic eligibility reviews for youth entering care and annually thereafter
• Complete and file SSI applications, including appeals for denials as necessary
• Maintain positive communication with SSA and provide training for case workers

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 1-2 years of relevant work experience
• Ability to understand and interpret federal and state laws and regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
