A social mobile messaging platform has an open position for a Work at Home Senior Software Systems Engineer.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Designing and implementing distributed, high-performance event flow and transactional systems
• Being responsible for performance and stability of the infrastructure
• Benchmarking and optimizing both native and interpreted code

Required Skills:

• Solid track record of implementing high performance systems
• Have an intuitive understanding of “The latency numbers every programmer should know”
• Great understanding of different database storage and index types
• Solid Javascript/NodeJS skills
• A desire to learn Rust
• Deep understanding of some facet of high performance computing
