Workday Payroll Configuration Lead

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time temporary basis, the Workday Payroll Configuration Lead will manage payroll configuration within Workday, translating requirements into scalable solutions, leading testing and releases, and building internal capabilities through documentation and training.

Key responsibilities

• Own the design, configuration, documentation, and maintenance of Workday Payroll functionality and related business processes
• Create and execute testing plans for payroll changes, leading technical triage and root-cause analysis for system defects
• Facilitate knowledge transfer and capability building by training internal resources and developing repeatable procedures

Required qualifications

• At least five years of experience supporting payroll technology or enterprise HR systems, with three years in Workday Payroll configuration
• Strong understanding of payroll processing, including earnings, deductions, taxes, and year-end requirements
• Experience configuring Workday business processes across HCM, Benefits, Time Tracking, and Security
• Demonstrated experience with controlled system changes, test planning, and documentation
• Workday Payroll certification or Workday Pro accreditation
