Responsible for gathering and preparing appeal documentation for Government and Workers' Compensation, the full-time Workers' Comp Appeal Prep Specialist will manage submission processes and follow up on necessary information, working remotely or onsite as needed.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluates documentation and follows up on requests for facility records
- Prepares appeal packets for submission to the appeal writer
- Maintains knowledge of billing regulations and trends with national payors
Required qualifications
- Minimum three years of experience in a healthcare/revenue cycle billing environment
- Above average knowledge of Government and Workers' Compensation payor billing guidelines
- Experience with post billing for all Government and Workers' Compensation payors
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and Office 365
- High school diploma, GED, or significant relevant work experience
