Job Summary
Managing medical and indemnity claims remotely, the part-time Workers' Compensation Adjuster (NC & SC Licensed) will handle moderate to difficult claims, determine compensability, facilitate return-to-work initiatives, and negotiate settlements through a contract position ending December 31, 2026.
Key responsibilities
- Handle medical and indemnity claims of moderate to difficult complexity in North Carolina and South Carolina
- Determine compensability through detailed investigations and establish causal relationships between injury and incident
- Facilitate return-to-work processes and manage medical bills related to claims
Required qualifications
- 4+ years of workers' compensation claims handling experience, including medical and indemnity claims
- Experience with moderate to difficult claims in North Carolina and South Carolina
- Valid adjuster license in the home state, with a preference for South Carolina or North Carolina licenses
- Proficiency in using Guidewire (version 8) or similar claim management software
- Strong understanding of medical and legal terminology related to workers' compensation
