Job Summary
Seeking a remote, contract Workers' Compensation Adjuster (NC & SC Licensed) to manage medical and indemnity claims, determine claim compensability, and facilitate return-to-work initiatives through December 31, 2026.
Key responsibilities:
- Handle moderate to difficult medical and indemnity claims in North Carolina and South Carolina
- Determine compensability through detailed investigations and establish causal relationships between injuries and incidents
- Negotiate settlements and manage medical bills while documenting all claim specifics thoroughly
Required qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in workers' compensation claims handling, including medical and indemnity claims
- Valid adjuster license in the home state; licensure in South Carolina or North Carolina preferred
- Strong knowledge of workers' compensation laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions
- Proficiency in Guidewire (version 8) or similar claim management software
- Strong understanding of medical and legal terminology related to workers' compensation
