Workers Compensation Claims Representative

Job Summary

Detail-oriented and proactive professionals will find a full-time remote opportunity as a Workers Compensation Claims Representative, responsible for gathering workers' compensation details, submitting claims, reviewing payments and denials, and communicating with various stakeholders to ensure timely payment for medical services related to work-related injuries.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a queue of Workers' Compensation accounts and ensure timely submission of claims and documentation to insurance carriers
• Contact employers, insurance carriers, and patients to gather necessary information for claims processing and resolve any inquiries regarding the Workers' Compensation process
• Review payments and denials, writing and submitting appeals as needed, while maintaining communication with all parties involved in the claims process

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; some college coursework preferred
• 1-5 years of related experience in medical billing, coding, claims adjudication, or workers' compensation
• Proficiency in data entry and MS Office applications, with a strong customer service background
• Ability to communicate professionally and clearly, both verbally and in writing
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a high workload effectively
