Workers Compensation Claims Trainee

Job Summary

To support a growing claims management team, the full-time Workers Compensation Claims Trainee will engage in a 6-month paid, fully remote immersive learning experience, gaining hands-on exposure to claims operations and client service while progressively managing indemnity claims under mentorship.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in structured learning through instructor-led sessions, online modules, and job shadowing focused on foundational insurance knowledge and claims operations
• Shadow experienced claims professionals to learn best practices in managing workers' compensation claims and gradually take ownership of a portfolio of indemnity claims
• Engage in professional communication with clients and stakeholders to support empathetic and effective claims handling, while analyzing claim details to determine strategy and financial exposure

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4-year degree from an accredited institution preferred
• 3.5 or higher GPA preferred, with consideration for candidates with proven experience
• Familiarity with M365 products (e.g., Outlook, Word, basic Excel, and PPT)
• Demonstrated adaptability to changes in procedures and technology
• Active listening and problem-solving mindset
